The iconic Dazed magazine turned 25 last week. The magazine's founder Jefferson Hack happens to be a good friend of mine, and interviewed me for the launch of our first magazine earlier this year: Impossible to Print. He said some really kind and clever words, which meant a lot. You can read our full conversation here.
I have been thinking a lot about gender this year. In particular, I have been feeling the psychological burden of living in a patriarchy weighing heavily on me. I have been trying to negotiate how to move through this position, and how to hold the hands of women and men around me to do the same. I do believe that we need a radical paradigm shift to happen, and that we might learn from our ancestors, way back in the day, who lived in matriarchal and matrilineal societies, how to exist on and with this planet.
